The final season points totals are now available to view under;

Congratulations to Ian Carter who with 7/10 points at the Six Counties has jumped from 6th to 1st place. Ian finished in 39 points from his 33 matches, a single point ahead of David Danby & Sandra Gammage and a further point clear of Marilyn & Pete Cook. The mark of 39 is five more than the winning mark from last year.
I have also added a 'combined' sheet to show the points totals for the last two seasons. I believe that we used to have these records, but I don't think that they were maintained? If I am wrong and somebody has them then please pass them on to me and ill add all previous season to this data.

Hertfordshire finished up their ECCBA league campaign with a hard earned 18-18 draw with Essex at Ware Drill Hall on Sunday 15th March 2015. The result meant we finished runners up to Suffolk in the league with 107 points, our new best ever season, beating least year effort of 86 points.
Congratulations to all members of the squad and thank you for your efforts. The match report from the game can be found under;

The season points total is now up to date following the match with Essex last Sunday and can be found in;
Results & Stats > County Season Performance
Marilyn Cook & Pete Cook (Marilyn ahead on shots) still have a slender one point lead at the top from David Danby and Sandra Gammage.
With 10 points being up for grabs at the six counties there are 18 players still in with a mathematical chance of being top points scorer.

After completion of our final ECCBA league fixture against Essex, we can now reveal the top points scorer in ECCBA league fixtures only.
Well done to Thomas Ellis, Andy Cobbold, Sandra Gammage and David Danby who played together all season and finished with 23/30 points, a great effort.
They were pushed all the way by Marilyn & Pete Cook who finished on 21/30. Out of the 28 bowlers used, 25 of them averaged more than 1 point per game. In other words almost everybody won more games then they lost. The full list can be found under;
Results & Stats > County Season Performance
Last years winners Gill Baraclough and Rob Washbrook (18 points) would have only been good enough for 8th this year. Last years 3rd place (16 points) went down as far as 17th place in this years standings. Well done everybody, this figures show what a fantastic season we have had.

Hertfordshire face Essex in their vital final ECCBA league fixture at Ware Drill Hall on Sunday 15th March. Eleven points are required to reach 100 points. This would also ensure that we finish above our opponents and would mean Cambs. would need to win away at Suffolk to leapfrog us in the table. After the season we have had though we should be looking to win our final fixture and should be disappointed if we don't.
The team sected for this match is detailed below;
1. Thomas Ellis 1. Jackie Harden 1. Dave Smith
2. Andy Cobbold 2. Margaret Forrest 2. Roy Harden
3. Sandra Gammage 3. Marilyn Cook 3. Jonathon Carter
4. David Danby 4. Pete Cook 4. Mick Cook
1. Lynda Coates 1. Mary Cobbold 1. Alan Bull
2. Ian Carter 2. Jacqui Harris 2. Gill Barraclough
3. Paul Harris 3. Annette Luedtke 3. Rebecca Hearn
4. Craig Hearn 4. Rob Washbrook 4. Jason Ellis
good luck to all those selected

As I am sure most of you are aware each year the winners of the county titles go on to represent Hertfordshire at the ECBA Champion of Champions. This years event is being held in Wolsingham, County Durham on the weeknd of 6th/7th June. This event is held in a leisure centre so there is no accommodation on site. Therefore, accommodation needs to be booked separately.
The 4's winners are uanle to attend and as Craig Hearn won the singles and the pairs (he is playing in the pairs) we need representatives for the fours and the singles. The procedure for this when the winners can not attend is as follows;
1. Runners up
2. Last years winners
3. Committee decision
In both competitions options 1 and 2 are not possible. Therefore it will be a committee decision for both events. As we need to allow our representatives time to book their accommodation the committee will be making a decision at the Essex game on Sunday 15th March. If you would like to be considered for selection then please let Pete Cook know ([email protected]) before the 15th

After last weeks result against Suffolk there are new leaders in the overall season points total. Marilyn Cook and Pete Cook (Marilyn has better shot difference) now hold a three point lead over the chasing pack.
It is still very tight with just 9 points separating the top 18 players. This is a good indication of our level of improvement as the leading points scorers last year (Rebecca & Craig Hearn) ended the season on 34 points. We still have the home match with Essex and the six counties event left in the season.
