The 3rd Mick and Sandra Hearn memorial 4’s was held on Sunday 20th September, 20 teams entered trying to win the title. It was Mike Walker's team of Colmworth (Bedfordshire) who defeated a North Luffenham team skipped by Paul Ellis in an entertaining final.

Congratulations to Rebecca Hearn, Craig Hearn, Pete Cook & Jason Ellis who won the Littleport fours on Sunday. (31-05-15)
The event saw 20 teams competing for the title. After winning their group they won a close quarter final, before defeating two former Hertfordshire players in Alan & Syliva Page in the semi final. In the final they got the better of Mick Watkins, Shirley Watkins, Andy Gilder & Sue Gilder from Barking in Suffolk.

I would like to thank all teams that entered Sundays memorial 4's, we hope you enjoyed playing in the tournament as much as we enjoyed hosting it. Many thanks to everybody that helped on the day, be it food, raffle, scores, equipment or helping to make our friends from the south east feel welcome.

Yesterday (23-02-14), Hertfordshire hosted a friendly triples tournament with members of the South East Special Olympics team. The event was hosted at Stanstead Abbotts Parish Hall.
Eight members of the SE Special Olympics (along with their carers and some parents) attended the event. Which saw two members of HCBA (and Neil from Suffolk and Jason from Cambridgeshire) team up with one member of the SE Olympics Team.

Yesterday saw 24 teams (from 5 of the 6 member ECCBA counties) compete for the very first Mick & Sandra Hearn Memorial 4's tournament.
A very high standard of bowls was seen throughout the day which was played in a very friendly atmosphere. The winning team was from Barking (Suffolk) who defeated Lilley (Bedfordshire) in a keenly contested final. Congratulations to both teams who played excellent bowls throughput the day and deserved their places in the final.Full results from...
