The first division is approaching its conclusion with just one game left to play. The league table on the links below is missing a 4-4 draw between Symonds Green & Stanstead Abbotts. Thefore, the final fixture is Essendon at home to Symonds Green. Anything other than an 8-0 loss will be good enough to secure Essendon the title.

We travelled to Braintree Leisure Centre on Sunday (09-04-2017) to compete in the ECCBA Six Counties Event. In a disappointing day we finished in 5th place, although we were only four points behind second placed Cambridgeshire. Suffolk won the event for the third year in a row.

Congratulations to Thomas Ellis, Jack Smalley & Jason Ellis who won the county triples on Sunday (02-04-17). In an all Symonds Green final they defeated Tim Smalley, Rebecca Hearn & Craig Hearn in a good final. Jason has now won all four county titles, a great achievement in a short period of time. Now that we have completed our ECCBA league season we have been able to update the ongoing season points total list. The statistics start from the beginning of the 2013/2014 season. We have a new leader as David Danby moves to the top of the standings with 68 points, just ahead of Mary Cobbold on shot difference. Marilyn Cook, the leader at the start of the season slips down to 3rd. Sandra Gammage & David Danby make up the rest of the top five. It is nice to see that we have six new additions on this list with Stuart Plamer, Thomas Palmer, Doug Parfett, Ollie Mercer-Smith, Eric Shepherd & Kate Claridge all playing their first county games this season. We have been represented by 45 different players in league matches over the course of the last four season.
