Updated Season Performance

After the recent 22-14 loss to Suffolk the Season Points Table has been updated.


It is Sandra Gammage & Thomas Ellis who still lead the way on 26 points, they are two in front of David Danby and a further five points in front of Rebecca Hearn & Jack Smalley. Just six points separate 18th place (15 points) from Rebecca in 5th place on 21 points.

Suffolk 22-14 Herts

We played our second ECCBA league fixture away to defending champions Suffolk at Needham Market Community Centre on Sunday 11th December.


A slow start to the day saw us fall 10-2 behind after two sessions, we split the remaining four to limit the damage and lose 22-14. For the full match report click on the link below;

Updated Season Performance

After the 21-15 home win over Cambridgeshire the Season performance table has been updated. Sandra Gammage and Thomas Ellis still lead the way after picking up 6/6 against Cambs. They lead by two points over David Danby who is a further three points clear of Jason Ellis and Jack Smalley. Just Six points then separate Paul Harris in 6th place down to 21st Place.

Herts 21-15 Cambs

Hertfordshire defeated Cambridgeshire 21-15 in their first ECCBA League fixture of the season on Sunday 27th November 2016 held at Essendon Village Hall.


 

It was a good start against a team that we had finished behind last season, although it could have been better.

Hertfordshire v Cambridgeshire

We start our Eastern Counties League campaign with a home fixture against Cambridgeshire on Sunday November 27th 2016. This match is being played at Essendon Village Hall (10.30am start) whilst we continue to search for a new permanent home venue.


 

Last year we finished in 3rd place in the league, a single point behind our opponents. Therefore, this could be a crucial fixture come the end of the season. The tem selected to play is as follows;

League Season Performance

For the last few seasons we have displayed statistics to show who has picked up the most points throughout the season for the county team.


 

We are now going to display this statistics for our club matches too. This information can be found under Results & Stats > League Season performance. Click on the club name to see who a record of who has scored the points throughout the season. Also click on 'Division 1' or 'Division 2' to see who are the best performing players in each division (top six players from each club displayed).

Division 1

Quite a few games have already been completed to date in the first division. The early indications are once again that results will largely favour the home team. Of the six fixtures played so far there has been four home wins, one draw and just the solitary away win (Essendon at Hertford Heath).

Division 2

Just a couple of fixtures played in division 2 to date. Both resulted in comfortable home wins with Braughing beating Little Hadham 7-1 and Little Hadham defeating Shenley 6-2.

SCAPA

Stanstead Abbotts have progressed through to the quarter finals of the SCAPA cup after coming through against Hertford Heath over two legs. Winning the away leg 6-2, they completed a 14-2 aggregate win after winning the home leg 8-0. They will face Bedmon in the next round.


The other fixture in the top half of the draw will see Little Hadham face Symonds Green in a repeat of the final from a few years back, which Little Hadham won. The bottom half of the draw will see Braughing play Shenley with the winner set to face either Great Amwell or the winners from the last two years Essendon.
