Stanstead Abbotts started their defence of their first division title with a 5-3 home defeat against Symonds Green.

Stanstead Abbotts started well and looked good in the fours winning the first game 16-8. The second game was much closer and a single on the last end was enough to secure a 7-7 draw.

The pairs were a completely different story. Symonds Green dominated both games and came away with convincing wins 19-4 & 11-2. The final result was 5-3 (points) 45-29 (shots)
