New - List of County Title Winners

Posted by Pmcook1 on January 30, 2017 at 4:35 AM Comments comments (0)

I have consolidated the previous winners information from our four county titles into one list. There are 67 players who have won a Hertfordshire County title, with Mike Bennett just missing out on becoming the 68th after losing in yesterday's (29-01-17) pairs final.

Of the 67 players, 37 have won just the one title. There are 13 players who have won two titles, with all but four of those winning in two different disciplines. Of the remaining 17 players, all have won in more than one discipline.

There are just four players (Craig Hearn, Mick Hearn, Pete Cook & Neil Tuckey) who have won all four disciplines, these are highlighted in yellow. There are a further five players who will be looking to join that list this season as they are just looking for one further discipline to complete the set. David Danby just needs to win the fours, Sandra Gammage & Rob Wahsbrook just need to win the triples and Rebecca Hearn & Marilyn Cook need to win the singles.

Everybody has some way to go to catch up the leader Craig Hearn. Craig has won an incredible 31 county titles winning each discipline at least six times!

The county pairs is to be held at our new venue of Applecroft School in Welwyn Garden City on Sunday the 29th January 2017.

The committee have put in a lot of hard effort to source this venue and it would be nice if that effort could be made to feel worthwhile by this event being well supported. A copy of the entry form can be found on the below link;
