Little Hadham 2-6 Stanstead Abbotts

Symonds Green 8-0 Braughing

Essendon 8-0 Little Hadham

Braughing 4-4 Symonds Green

The defending champions Symonds Green lead the way at this stage with 14 points from their three games. After going last season undefeated they suffered a 6-2 loss away to Stanstead Abbotts but have since responded with a convincing 8-0 win at home against Braughing and a good 4-4 away draw in the reverse fixture.

Essendon currently sit in 2nd place with 12 points from their two games. Playing both fixtures at home they comfortably beat Little Hadham 8-0 and were held to a 4-4 draw at home by Braughing.

Stanstead Abbotts, in 3rd place, also have 12 points from their two matches. They started the season well with a 6-2 home win over Symonds Green and followed it up with a good 6-2 win away at Little Hadham.

Braughing currently sit in 4th place with 8 points from their three matches. After a disappointing 8-0 loss at Symonds Green they have responded well by holding the defending champions at home and then picking up an impressive 4-4 draw at Essendon.

Division 2 Results

Division 2 Results to date

Bedmond 4-4 Hertford Heath

Great Amwell 4-4 Bedmond

Hertford heath beat Shenely

Shenley lost to Hertford Heath

Great Amwell 5-3 Hertford Heath

Shenley 6-2 Great Amwell

Bedmond 8-0 Shenley

Hertford Heath lead the way in the 2nd division with 21 points from their four games. With just two fixtures left to play (Home to Bedmond & Great Amwell) they could set the marker for the others to reach. They have won impressively home and away against Shenley, secured a good 4-4 draw away to Bedmond and only lost narrowly 5-3 at Great Amwell.

Bedmond sit in 2nd place with 16 points from their three games. They have been held to a 4-4 draw at home to Hertford Heath and also secured a 4-4 draw at Great Amwell. An 8-0 win at home to Shenley has kept them in touching distance of the leaders

Great Amwell have 11 points from their three fixtures and will need improved results over the 2nd half of the season if they want to secure an immediate return to the first division. At home they have beaten Hertford Heath 5-3 and been held by Bedmond. They lost 6-2 at Shenley to leave them 10 points behind the leaders (with a game in hand)

Shenley should have entered the season with renewed confidence after a good 2nd half to last season. Unfortunately home and away defeats to Hertford Heath and an 8-0 loss at Bedmond has left them some way off the pace. A 6-2 home win over Great Amwell has shown that they have the potential to move up the table in the 2nd half of the season.
